Piston Seals

Piston seals are used in cylinders to seal liquids. Piston seals are located in the cylinder head and seal against the cylinder wall, thus preventing leakage of liquids past the cylinder head.NewDealSeals supplies a wide range of piston seals as an economic alternative to e.g. AQ Seal®, Bal Seal®, Double Delta®, Flexiseal®, Glyd Ring®, MSE® Seal, Omniseal®, Rimseal®, Stepseal®, VL Seal®, Variseal® and Wynseal®.

PROFILE P1

For single-acting pistons in hydraulic cylinders

Profile P1 is particularly suitable for single-acting pistons in control cylinders, in servo controlled systems, machine tools and in construction machinery. Optimal sealing performance obtained if used in tandem with Guide Ring.
Good back-transport of oil film due to special shape of sealing edge.

PROFILE P2

For double-acting pistons in hydraulic cylinders

Profile P2 is suitable for double-acting pistons in control cylinders, servo-controlled systems, machine tools, quick acting and steering cylinders.
Capable of sealing dynamic pressure from both sides (bidirectional) at high pressure.

PROFILE P3

For dynamic applications

Profile P3 is appropriate for dynamic applications as an alternative to an O-ring in situations where sealing performance and friction have to be optimised.
Can be used in existing O-ring grooves.

For double-acting in pneumatic cylinders

Profile P4 is suitable for double-acting pneumatic pistons, e.g. in control cylinders, servo assisted equipment, and in quick-acting cylinders.
Can be used for pneumatic applications.
