Rotary Seals

Rotary seals are used in applications with oscillating or rotating movements in order to retain liquid lubricants and to prevent the penetration of dirt and water. These seals help to extend the service life of parts and to enhance the long-term performance.Producers of rotary transmissions prefer simplified seal designs. This can be achieved by means of internally sealing rotary sealing set profile Y1. They consist of wear resistant glide rings of low friction and of NBR or FKM O-rings as energizer. The rotary sealing set profile Y1 is suitable mainly for applications where the pressure alternates from one side of the seal to the other, such as pivots for rotating track rings, swivel joints, hose reels, and in machine tool hydraulics.
